Board Apostolate:
The Board is made up of faithful Catholic men and women committed
to obedience to our Holy Father and the Teaching Magisterium
of the Roman Catholic Church. This commitment is signed by
all in leadership on apostolate and ministry teams. The Board
is fully incorporated and a non-profit, tax-exempt organization
under 501(3)(c) of the tax code.
The Bethesda Healing Ministry Board Apostolate is discerned
for membership through a process of formation in the spirituality
and apostolic charism, Mission and Vision of Bethesda. It
is believed that one must wash the feet of each other before
one can wash the feet of those who come. The Board Apostolate
specifically serves Jesus Christ by reaching out to His wounded
children. This is done through prayer, administrative consult,
volunteer involvement, financial and actual Ministry support.
Membership on the Board is through submission of name(s) to
the Founder and Board Apostolate. Candidates serve a three
month discernment peroid before election to the Apostolate.
Board apostolate members must be actively involved in their
Catholic faith. All individuals must indicate a willingness
to be active and are expected to attend the regular monthly
Board Meeting. Apostolate are elected to either a two or three
year term and may be renewed for an additional term at the
direction and invitation of the Apostolate Board team.
Core Leadership Team: Meets monthly on the 1st Monday
of the month, 12am-2pm All meetings begin in our chapel in
prayer.
The Core Leadership Team is made up of Founder, participating

Hands). With the exception of very part time staff, all leadership
members serve Bethesda gratis.

storming, planning and project service brought to the Board
Apostolate for approval and action. The Core team collaborates
with the Board Apostolate on all outreach, financial and community
ministry projects which include the Newsletter, Annual Benefit,
Community Health Fairs, Public Speaking and Five Porticos
Hospitality.
Pastoral Leadership Team: Meets from 6:00 8:30 p.m.
the third Monday of each month. All meetings begin in our
chapel in prayer.
This team is comprised of Bethesda Companions who have evidenced
personal, emotional and spiritual growth within the ministry
for the minimum of a 1-6 years. The individual has been discerned
and prayerfully invited to serve on this spiritual pastoral
support team. Such individuals evidence persevering attendance
at Healing sessions, retreats, additional formation, and interpersonal
maturity. Our Companions continue their healing through participation
in the Sacramental life of the Church, continued use of our
Manual for healing, acting as group facilitators, retreat
speakers, mentoring new comers and pastoral discernment, public
speaking and support of the Mission and Vision of Bethesda
Healing Ministry.
The pastoral team members are recommended by Founder and existing
PLT members. Ministry priest chaplains and seminarians on
academic assignment to Bethesda also serve on this team.
The Pastoral Leadership Team is charged with spiritual pastoral
stewardship of the Mission of Bethesda Healing Ministry. The
function of pastoral leadership team is that of spiritual
stewardship. It is of great importance that the individuals
on this team is the protection of the Mission of the Ministry.
The team is significantly involved in the spiritual/pastoral
perspective aspects of members within and protection of the
Catholic Christian identity and integrity in the community
at large. The leadership of the Pastoral Leadership team is
at all times subject to the wisdom and direction of our Bishop
